How do I set up email in Gmail?

Learn how to set up email in Gmail.

  1. Log into your Gmail account and locate the Settings icon on the top right side.
  2. A menu will drop down, click See all Settings

  2. Scroll until you see Check mail from other accounts
  3. Click Add a mail account

  5. Enter your LibertyHost email address
  6. Click Next

  6. Check: Always use secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail
  7. Optional: Label incoming messages (if you are sharing this mailbox with other email accounts, we recommend checking this box)
  8. Optional: Archive incoming messages (do not recommend)
  9. Click Add Account

Next, let’s setup the Send As feature

  1. Navigate back to your Settings -> Accounts and Import
  2. Scroll til you see Send mail as, click Add another email address
  1. A window will popup, enter the name you want to appear as the Sender
  2. Enter your LibertyHost email address
  3. Click NextStep
  1. SMTP Server: mail.libertyhost.ch
  2. Username: Enter your LibertyHost email address
  3. Port: Select 465
  4. Password: Enter your LibertyHost email address
  5. Select Secured connection using SSL
  6. Click Add Account

You will receive an email to verify your account. Once you have received the email and clicked through the link, you are ready to send and receive emails from your LibertyHost email account inside your Gmail account.
